Tamper-Resistant Duplex Receptacle

This 10 pack of white duplex receptacles provides 15 amp 125 volt power connections for residential wiring projects. The tamper-resistant shutter mechanism blocks contact access unless a two-prong plug is inserted, helping keep foreign objects out. Each unit carries the TR symbol confirming compliance with the 2008 NEC requirement. They suit homeowners and electricians updating standard outlet locations.

15 Amp Capacity and Wiring Room

Each receptacle handles 15 amps at 125 volts for general household branch circuits. The shallow body design leaves maximum space inside the box for wire connections and folding conductors. A heavy-gauge rust-resistant steel mounting strap secures the device firmly. The thermoplastic construction and brass contacts support a 5320 watt rating. These units are not suited for circuits requiring higher amperage or specialised industrial configurations.

Thermoplastic Build and Mounting

The thermoplastic face and body resist impacts and heat during normal operation. Ultrasonic heavy-duty construction aims to deliver a long, trouble-free service life. The steel strap resists corrosion in typical indoor environments. Wallplates are sold separately, so finish matching is left to the installer. No batteries are required or included for operation.

Questions about this item

Will these 15A 125V receptacles work on the existing 15-amp branch circuit in my older home?

Yes, each receptacle is rated 15 amps at 125 volts, matching standard 15-amp branch circuits; the tamper-resistant shutters add child safety without changing the electrical load.

How can I verify the tamper-resistant shutters are functioning after I install the T5320-WMP outlets?

Insert a standard two-prong plug — both blades must enter simultaneously to open the internal shutters; a single object such as a key or hairpin will be blocked, confirming the TR mechanism works.

The pack lists 10 devices — does it include wallplates or mounting screws?

The box contains ten white duplex receptacles with heavy-gauge steel mounting straps and captive mounting screws; wallplates are sold separately.
