EATON BUSSMANN AGX Glass Fuse

This pack contains five fast-acting glass fuses rated at 1/10 A for 250 V AC circuits. They suit technicians and hobbyists protecting low-current control boards, instrumentation or lighting gear where a cylindrical rejection-style fuse is required. The AGX series fits standard fuse blocks such as the 3823, HFA, HHN, HK, HKP, HPF, HRK, HTB and S-8000 families. Buyers needing higher amperage ratings or a different body style should look elsewhere.

Capacity and headroom

Each fuse carries a continuous load of 1/10 A and interrupts up to 10 kA at 125 V AC or 35 A at 250 V AC. That interrupt rating covers typical branch-circuit fault levels in residential and light-commercial panels. The single-element design opens quickly on overcurrent, but the 1/10 A rating leaves no headroom for sustained loads above that value; circuits drawing more current will nuisance-blow.

Thermals, noise and power draw

Glass-body construction dissipates heat through the body and end caps during normal operation. No moving parts mean silent performance. Power loss at rated current is low, so the fuse runs cool under typical loads. The fast-acting element melts rapidly during a fault, limiting let-through energy without generating audible noise.
