What this KVM switch does

The AUTYUE 2 Port HDMI KVM Switch lets you control two computers with a single keyboard, mouse and up to four USB peripherals across two monitors. It supports 4K at 30 Hz and 1080p at 120 Hz with YUV 4:4:4 colour. Switching is handled by front push buttons or the included 1.5 m wired remote. No external power supply is required.

Check your cables and ports first

Each computer needs two HDMI 2.0 outputs and one USB port for the KVM link. Both monitors must accept HDMI input. The box supplies two 1.5 m USB cables and the remote, but you must provide four HDMI cables — two per computer — to match the dual-monitor layout. The switch works with Windows 7 through 11, Mac OS and Linux without drivers.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

Because the unit draws power only from the connected USB ports, it adds negligible heat and produces no fan noise. The compact 4 x 2.6 x 1 inch enclosure stays cool during extended sessions. LED indicators show the active computer at a glance. Power consumption is minimal, so no extra power adapter or UPS capacity is needed.
