This AUTYUE C201H KVM switch lets one keyboard, mouse and two HDMI monitors serve a USB-C laptop and an HDMI desktop. The USB-C port must carry video through DP Alt Mode or Thunderbolt; a charge-only cable will not deliver an image. Windows systems can extend or mirror across both screens, while macOS is limited to mirrored output only. A 60 W Power Delivery port keeps the laptop charged during use.

HDMI 4K 60 Hz bandwidth ceiling

Video passes through dual HDMI outputs at up to 4K 60 Hz, with 2560x1440 available at 120 Hz and 1920x1440 at 144 Hz. The HDMI interface caps the maximum refresh rate at each resolution, so higher frame rates at 4K are not possible. Both monitors show the same pair of computers; independent monitor-to-computer assignment is not supported. The included DC adapter powers the switch itself.

USB-C video capability decides compatibility

The single specification that determines whether this KVM works is the laptop USB-C port’s ability to transmit a DisplayPort or Thunderbolt video signal. If the port is data- and power-only, the external monitors will stay dark regardless of cable quality. No adapter can add video to a non-video USB-C port, so verify the laptop specification before purchase.
