A 50 ft flat braided Cat 8 cable with 26 AWG conductors delivers 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz for gaming and streaming
This 50 ft Cat 8 flat braided Ethernet cable delivers 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz for routers, modems, consoles and PCs. The cotton braid and aluminium shell with 24 k gold plated RJ45 contacts add durability for permanent runs. The thin flat profile routes under carpets and along skirting boards without bulk.
Bandwidth of 2000 MHz and 40 Gbps throughput determine whether the link saturates your ISP plan or local backbone. The S/FTP construction with four foil shielded pairs plus an overall aluminium layer suppresses crosstalk so the rated speed holds over the full 50 ft length. Verify your switch and NIC also support Cat 8 to use the headroom.
The flat braided jacket makes the cable easy to tuck behind furniture or through tight gaps, yet the 26 AWG conductors need gentle curves to avoid kinking. Gold plated RJ45 tabs snap securely into PS5, Xbox Series, Switch, smart TVs and legacy Cat 6 or Cat 5e ports. Ensure connectors seat fully or intermittent drops will appear.

The 40Gbps figure is the cable's maximum supported data rate; actual throughput will match the lowest speed among your router port, network card, and internet plan, so a 1Gbps port will still run at 1Gbps.
It uses RJ45 connectors on both ends, the standard interface for Cat 8, and the connector itself does not impose a lower ceiling — the 40Gbps and 2000MHz ratings apply across the full link.
The flat, 26AWG braided design is thin and flexible, letting it tuck under carpets, run along baseboards, or pass through tight gaps without the bulk of round cables.
