Quad Monitor KVM for Four Desktops

The AUTYUE KC-404DH connects four desktop computers to four monitors using one keyboard and mouse set. Each computer must provide three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and one HDMI 2.1 output natively. The switch shares four USB 3.0 ports and a TF card slot across the selected system. Extended and mirrored display modes are supported. Laptops and docking stations cannot drive the required four native video outputs.

Resolution and Bandwidth Limits

Video reaches 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz when certified HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 cables are used. Shorter cables improve signal integrity at these rates. USB peripherals operate at 5 Gbps, which is ten times the USB 2.0 rate. The unit requires the included 12 V DC adapter for stable operation across all four channels.

Graphics Card Port Requirement

Every connected desktop must have a dedicated graphics card with exactly three native DisplayPort 1.4 connectors and one native HDMI 2.1 connector. Adapters or converters will not satisfy this requirement. The switch does not offer matrix routing; each monitor output stays bound to its corresponding input layer.

RTX 5070 Priority Note

The manufacturer highlights compatibility with an RTX 5070 graphics card as a primary reference. Systems lacking the specified native port configuration cannot use this KVM for four-monitor operation. Push-button and wired remote switching are both available for source selection.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the HDMI 2.1 port or the three DP 1.4 ports for my main display?

Use the HDMI 2.1 port for one monitor and the three DP 1.4 ports for the others; your graphics card must have one HDMI 2.1 output and three DP 1.4 outputs to drive all four screens natively.

What does the 8K@30Hz and 4K@120Hz rating actually deliver on my desk?

You can run each of the four monitors at up to 8K resolution at 30 Hz or 4K resolution at 120 Hz, provided you use certified HDMI 2.1 and DP 1.4 cables and keep cable runs short.

How does the USB 3.0 hub limit the speed of my keyboard, mouse and drives?

The four USB 3.0 ports share a 5 Gbps uplink, so all peripherals combined cannot exceed that bandwidth; it is ten times the throughput of USB 2.0.
