Dual HDMI KVM for four computers

This AUTYUE SW912 KVM switch connects four USB 3.0 or Thunderbolt computers to two HDMI monitors. It shares one keyboard, one mouse, Gigabit Ethernet, audio, and six USB ports across all systems. Both clone and extended desktop modes are supported. DisplayLink drivers must be installed on each host before use.

Replaces four separate docks and cables

A single unit handles video, data, network and audio for every connected machine, removing the need to swap cables or peripherals. The jump is worth it when you regularly work across multiple laptops or desktops and want instant switching via front buttons or the included IR remote. Mac users gain true extended desktop on M1 through M4 chipsets, overcoming the usual single-external-display limit.

Drives two 4K displays at 120 Hz

Each HDMI output reaches 3840×2160 at 120 Hz, with backward compatibility down to 720p. USB 3.2 Gen 2 delivers 10 Gbps through one Type-A port, while three USB 3.0 ports run at 5 Gbps and two USB 2.0 ports handle keyboard and mouse. The 12 V DC adapter powers the switch itself; it does not charge connected laptops. Operation consumes host resources, so a 17-core CPU and 16 GB RAM are recommended for smooth performance.

Questions about this item

Does the SW912 need a power outlet, or can it run from the USB-C bus alone?

It requires the included DC 12V power adapter; bus power is not sufficient.

Which cables go where when I first connect four computers and two HDMI monitors?

Connect each computer with a supplied USB cable to the four upstream ports, plug two monitors into the HDMI outputs, then attach keyboard, mouse and peripherals to the downstream USB-A ports before powering on.

What ongoing care does the IR remote sensor need so switching keeps working?

Keep the infrared receiver window clear of dust and obstructions; no batteries or firmware updates are required for the sensor itself.
