Lets two computers share two USB peripherals with push-button switching and 5 Gbps data rates
This USB 3.0 switch lets two computers share two USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, printers or scanners. It is aimed at users who alternate between a work machine and a personal laptop and want to avoid unplugging cables. The unit is driver-free and works with Windows, macOS, Chrome OS and Linux.
The package supplies two USB 3.0 A-to-A cables, each 1m long, so both computers can be connected immediately. A user manual is also provided. No external power adapter is required because the switch draws power from the host USB ports. Blue LEDs show which computer is currently active.
The switch supports USB 3.0 data rates up to 5 Gbps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 devices. It does not support video output or audio switching. Buyers who need to share monitors or more than two USB devices should consider a different solution.

The selector uses physical push buttons rated for repeated actuation; no user-serviceable parts are inside, so the switch itself is the only component that could eventually need replacement.
The 5 Gbps SuperSpeed channel is shared between the two downstream ports, so simultaneous heavy transfers from both peripherals will saturate the single upstream connection first.
It draws all power from the host USB 3.0 ports with no external adapter, so heat and power draw stay within normal USB 3.0 limits during continuous operation.
