Dual-monitor KVM for laptop and desktop

This USB-C KVM switch connects one laptop and one desktop to two monitors and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It uses a USB-C MST input for the laptop and a combined HDMI, DisplayPort and USB-A input for the desktop. A 100W USB-C charging port powers the laptop during use. Switching is done via front buttons or the included wired remote.

Suits users sharing two displays between a laptop

It fits setups where one system has a USB-C video output with MST support and the other provides separate HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Buyers whose laptop lacks MST over USB-C, such as Mac M1 or M2 models, will only get mirrored output on both screens. Systems without HDMI and DisplayPort on the same machine cannot use the desktop port. Anyone needing more than two computer ports should consider a different switch.

Key constraint is the laptop USB-C MST requirement

The laptop must deliver dual independent video streams over a single USB-C connection using MST. Without MST the switch falls back to mirror mode across both monitors. The desktop side requires simultaneous HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. Both computers share the four USB 3.0 ports at up to 5 Gbps. A 12V DC adapter is included for the switch itself.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum power the USB-C charging port can deliver to a laptop while the KVM switch is running continuously?

The USB-C charging port supports up to 100 W power delivery for a connected laptop during continuous operation.

How much power does the included DC adapter supply to the switch itself when both monitors and four USB 3.0 devices are active?

The included DC 12 V power adapter powers the KVM switch and its four USB 3.0 ports; the 100 W laptop charging requires a separate USB-C power adapter.

Which cables must the buyer already own to connect a desktop that only has HDMI and DisplayPort video outputs plus USB-A?

The package includes one HDMI+DisplayPort+USB-A cable for the desktop, so no extra cables are needed for that computer.
