Avaya 9601 SIP Deskphone

The Avaya 9601 is a corded SIP desk phone designed for office environments that rely on VoIP infrastructure. It provides a four-line backlit LCD display, dual-port Ethernet switch and Power over Ethernet support for simplified cabling.

Suited for users needing basic call handling

This model suits workers who need reliable two-line operation, presence status and programmable feature buttons. It is not for buyers who want more than two simultaneous lines, a colour touchscreen, integrated Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, or support for expansion modules beyond the three BM12 units mentioned.

PoE-powered SIP endpoint with dual Ethernet ports

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of Power over Ethernet and a built-in two-port switch, which lets the phone share one network drop with a PC. Confirm that your LAN provides PoE to the desk port before ordering.

One port connects to the LAN and the second passes the connection to a PC, letting both devices share a single wall jack.

Up to three BM12 modules are supported, adding extra programmable keys when more line appearances are required.
