It supports cascading to add further ports and reduces wear from repeated cable changes. The unit works with ADSL, hubs, switches, TVs, set-top boxes, routers, wireless devices and computers.

Check your cabling first

Maximum throughput of 1000 megabits per second is only guaranteed when Cat6 or better cable is used throughout the link. Two active devices share the total bandwidth, so each will see less than the peak rate under load. Verify that your router or switch port is Gigabit rated and that existing cables are not limited to Cat5e.
