Converts RCA composite signals to HDMI 1080P at 60 Hz for retro consoles like PS2, Wii and N64, with 4:3 and 16:9 aspect-ratio switching and USB-powered plug-and-play operation
The AVer EFU196USJ media converter turns analogue RCA composite signals into a digital HDMI 1080P 60Hz or 720P 60Hz output. It lets owners of legacy consoles such as the Wii, PS1, PS2 or N64 play on modern televisions without extra cables. A USB power lead is included in the box. The unit is brand new and ready for immediate use.
The converter delivers 1080P at 60Hz and also offers a 720P 60Hz mode. A built‑in switch selects between 4:3 and 16:9 ratios so the original picture shape of each console is preserved. No driver installation is required on the host display. The device handles video and audio together over a single HDMI link.
Connect the RCA source, plug the HDMI lead into the television, then attach the supplied USB cable to a 5V port for power. The adapter only converts from AV to HDMI and cannot work in reverse. It does not enhance picture quality beyond the source signal. Forgetting the USB power connection is the most common reason the unit appears dead on first use.

The converter outputs the analogue RCA signal at 1080P resolution with a 60Hz refresh rate so the image fills a widescreen display without the judder you would see at lower frame rates.
The HDMI output carries the converted composite signal up to 1080P 60Hz or 720P 60Hz; it cannot pass higher resolutions or refresh rates because the source is standard-definition analogue video.
It requires one composite RCA input, one HDMI output to the display and a USB power cable (included, 1 metre) plugged into any 5V USB port; the box measures 30 feet end-to-end with cables attached.
