Dual 4K lens conferencing camera

The AVer COMCAM550 combines a PTZ lens with 12X optical zoom and a fixed AI lens covering a 95° field of view. It captures 1920 x 1080 video at 30 frames per second over a USB 3.1 connection. An integrated microphone and RJ-45 network port are built into the unit. The camera is intended for medium and large meeting rooms that need both close-up framing and a panoramic room view.

Sustained operation with AI framing

The Exmor R CMOS sensor maintains 30 fps output during extended calls while the onboard AI drives Smart Gallery face cropping and picture-in-picture compositing. Gesture control lets participants trigger AI functions without touching a remote or keyboard. The dual-lens design keeps the wide room overview active even while the PTZ lens zooms to 24X total magnification on a speaker.

USB 3.1 installation and network integration

Connect the camera to a host PC via USB 3.1 for video and power, then link the RJ-45 port to the local network for management or streaming. The 10.7 in x 10.2 in x 10.0 in form factor weighs 10.35 lb, so a sturdy mount on a display screen or monitor is required. Installers must verify that the mounting surface can support the weight and that USB 3.1 bandwidth is available for 1080p30 delivery.

Questions about this item

Does the COMCAM550 run hot or make noise when left on for full-day meetings?

The camera uses a passive design with no fan, so it operates silently and stays cool during extended use.

Which cables or mounts must I already have to install the COMCAM550?

It connects via USB 3.1 and includes an RJ-45 network port; a compatible cable and a monitor or tripod mount are required.

Will the COMCAM550 work with my older 1080p displays and USB 2.0 ports?

Yes, it outputs 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps and is backward compatible with USB 2.0, though bandwidth limits the 12X optical zoom feed.
