Report Cover for Letter-Size Documents

The Avery 47979 two-pocket report cover holds up to 20 three-hole punched letter-size pages using three durable fasteners. Two interior pockets store loose papers such as notes or brochures alongside the secured report. A die-cut business card holder is built into the left pocket. Sturdy embossed paper construction provides a classic professional appearance for office or school use.

Upgrade from Single-Pocket Folders

This cover replaces basic folders that lack fasteners or a second pocket for unpunched material. The jump is worth it when you need to keep punched pages firmly bound while also carrying loose inserts and a business card in one unit. It suits users who regularly assemble multi-part reports for meetings or presentations.

Capacity and Limits

Each cover manages 20 punched pages plus additional loose sheets in the two pockets. The 25-count box supplies enough covers for a team or recurring projects. It is not suited for binders requiring higher page counts, ring mechanisms, or heavy-duty daily transport without additional protection.

Questions about this item

What size paper does the Avery 47979 report cover hold?

It holds letter-size pages punched with three holes, secured by three fasteners that accept up to 20 sheets.

How do the three fasteners work and what is the common mistake?

Open the tang clips, insert punched pages, then press the clips flat; the error is leaving a clip partially open so pages slip out.

When should I replace the Avery 47979 cover?

Replace it when the embossed paper tears, the tang clips no longer lock shut, or the business-card die-cut on the left pocket rips.
