Professional Series CAT6 Cable

The AvesView Professional Series CAT6 shielded ethernet cable provides exceptional transfer speeds for LAN network components such as servers, computers, surveillance cameras, network-attached storage, game consoles, and TVs. It uses SFTP construction where each twisted pair is encased in aluminum foil and shielded with an aluminum magnesium wire screen. This design delivers the highest level of security against interference. The blue cable measures 50 feet and features 23 AWG conductors.

Upgrading from Unshielded Links

This cable replaces unshielded or lower-category runs where electromagnetic interference degrades throughput or causes dropped packets. The jump is worth it when routing near power lines, fluorescent ballasts, or dense cable bundles in commercial or residential installs. Its 550 MHz bandwidth supports 10 Gbps speeds up to the full 50-foot length. Snagless strain-relief boots protect the RJ45 latch during repeated moves.

Installers Needing Certified Shielding

The SFTP build suits installers who need verified alien-crosstalk immunity for PoE cameras, NAS backup, 4K streaming, or cloud workloads. Buyers who require outdoor-rated jackets, direct-burial gel filling, or plenum-rated fire codes should look at something else. The fixed 50-foot length also does not suit runs that demand custom-cut bulk spools.

Questions about this item

What is the cable diameter or jacket size so I can plan conduit space?

The cable uses 23 AWG conductors inside an SFTP jacket; allow roughly 6 to 7 mm overall diameter when sizing conduit or raceway.

How do I terminate the shielded RJ45 plugs without damaging the foil and braid?

Strip the outer jacket, fold the aluminum magnesium braid back over the foil, trim the foil, then seat the wires in the shielded RJ45 plug and crimp — the strain relief boot locks on last.

Will the shielding foil or braid degrade and need replacement over time?

The aluminum foil and magnesium wire screen are passive metal layers; they do not wear out, so the cable itself needs no scheduled replacement unless physically damaged.
