Avigilon H5A 2MP Indoor Dome Camera

The Avigilon H5A 2.0C-H5A-DC1-IR is a 2MP indoor dome surveillance camera built for ceiling-mounted installations. It uses a 1/2.8 inch CMOS imager and a 3.3-9mm varifocal lens to cover variable fields of view. H.264 compression handles recording bandwidth efficiently.

Suited for fixed indoor monitoring

This unit fits projects that need a discreet in-ceiling dome with a 3.3-9mm lens range. Buyers who require outdoor-rated housings, motorised pan-tilt functions, or a different fixed focal length should consider other models.

3.3-9mm varifocal lens defines the coverage

The adjustable 3.3-9mm focal length sets the viewing angle and detail level for each scene. Confirm that this range matches the distance and width you need to monitor before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 2.0 MP H.264 stream is recording correctly after mounting the dome?

Log into the recorder or VMS, confirm the camera shows 2.0 MP resolution and H.264 encoding, then review live and playback footage for clear 3.3–9 mm varifocal coverage.

What ships with the 2.0C-H5A-DC1-IR and what must I source separately?

The box contains the indoor dome camera with in-ceiling mount hardware; you must supply PoE switch or injector, NVR or VMS licence, cabling and any conduit or junction-box accessories.

Which focal-length version of the H5A 2MP dome should I choose for a 5 m wide hallway?

The 3.3–9 mm varifocal lens lets you zoom from wide to narrow; set it near 3.3 mm for full hallway width or toward 9 mm for a tighter view of a specific zone.
