Converts 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 at up to 4K60 in a compact metal chassis with loop output and USB-C power
The AVMatrix SC1112-12G converts a 12G-SDI signal to HDMI 2.0 with support up to 4K60. It features a 12G-SDI input, a 12G-SDI loop output, and one HDMI 2.0 output housed in a compact metal chassis. The unit is engineered for continuous 24/7 operation in professional broadcast environments. Power is supplied via a 5V USB-C port using the included adapter or a power bank.
This converter suits engineers who need to monitor a 12G-SDI feed on an HDMI 2.0 display with zero latency. The loop output allows the original SDI signal to continue downstream while the HDMI output feeds a local monitor. It is not for users who require an HDMI input converted to SDI, or those needing multiple HDMI outputs from a single SDI source. Buyers needing audio embedding or de-embedding features should look elsewhere.
The defining specification is the 12G-SDI input with a reclocked 12G-SDI loop output paired with a single HDMI 2.0 output supporting DCI 4096x2160 at 60 Hz. This signal path determines whether the unit matches a specific broadcast monitoring workflow. The USB-C power input allows flexible deployment with standard 5V sources.

Connect the 12G-SDI source to the input, run a second 12G-SDI cable from the loop output if you need to daisy-chain, then plug the HDMI 2.0 display into the output. The step people miss is providing 5 V power through the USB-C port — the unit has no internal supply and will not pass video without it.
No user-serviceable parts exist inside the sealed metal chassis. Maintenance is limited to keeping the USB-C power cable and the supplied adapter in good condition; if the cable frays or the adapter fails, replace it with any 5 V USB-C source.
The converter is rated for 24/7 operation with zero latency, so the first practical limit is the stability of the 5 V USB-C power source — an inadequate power bank or a loose cable will cause drop-outs before the electronics themselves overheat or degrade.
