Avocent ACS5004-001 4-Port Console Server 128 MB

Avocent ACS 5004 Console Server

The Avocent ACS 5004 is a 4-port console server designed for rack-mounted deployment. It uses a MPC855T processor with 128 MB of SDRAM to manage serial connections to network infrastructure equipment. This unit provides out-of-band access for remote administration of connected devices. It suits data centre environments requiring centralized serial console management.

Ideal for administrators managing up to four

This console server fits teams that need secure, remote access to a small number of serial consoles from a single rack appliance. Buyers requiring more than four ports should consider higher-density models. It is not intended for direct keyboard, video and mouse switching of user workstations. Environments needing KVM-over-IP for graphical server consoles should look at dedicated KVM switches instead.
