What this kit does

The AVPro Edge AC-EX40-444-PLUS-KIT extends 4K60 video up to 40 metres over a single CAT cable. Invisible Compression Technology preserves 4:4:4 chroma, HDR metadata and 12-bit deep colour without visible loss. It targets installers and integrators who need reliable long-distance 18Gbps distribution.

What to verify before ordering

Confirm the source outputs 4K at 60Hz with 4:4:4 sampling and that the display accepts the same signal. Ensure a solid Category cable run of the required length is in place with proper terminations. Check that both ends have power available for the extender units.

Thermals noise and power

The ultra-slim enclosures run passively with no moving parts, so operation is silent. Normal use sees low heat output and minimal power draw from the ICT processing engine. Units stay cool enough for discreet mounting behind displays or in equipment racks.

Questions about this item

Does the kit include both the transmitter and receiver, or do I need to buy them separately?

The kit supplies both the transmitter and receiver units; only a CAT cable up to 40 metres is required to complete the link.

Should I choose a different model for 18 Gbps 4K60 4:4:4 or will this one handle it?

This extender supports 18 Gbps bandwidth and 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 with HDR metadata preserved, so no higher-spec model is needed.

Will the 12-bit Deep Color signal arrive at the display unchanged over a 40-metre run?

Invisible Compression Technology transmits 12-bit Deep Color and all HDR formats without visible loss or added latency over the full 40-metre distance.
