Axiom 10G SFP+ Direct Attach Cable

This 10GBase-CU active twinaxial cable links two SFP+ ports over a 6.6 ft run. It suits data-centre racks and high-density switches where short-reach 10 GbE links are needed without transceivers.

Capacity and headroom

The assembly carries a full 10 Gbit/s lane with active signal conditioning built into the SFP+ ends. It reaches its limit at the specified 6.6 ft length; longer runs require optical modules or a different cable class.

Replaces fixed transceivers and patch cords

Swapping a pair of SFP+ modules and a fibre jumper for this single cable cuts cost, power draw and insertion loss. The jump is worth it when the link stays inside one rack row and the 6.6 ft reach covers the topology.

Questions about this item

Will the 12.99 in rack shelf fit alongside my existing 1U equipment in the same cabinet?

The shelf measures 12.99 in wide by 12.99 in deep and weighs 3.6 lb, so it occupies a compact footprint that sits beside other 1U devices without overhang.

How can I verify the shelf is correctly installed and stable after mounting?

After securing the shelf to the rack rails, confirm it sits level front to back, shows no deflection under load, and all mounting screws are fully tightened.

What ships with the shelf and what must I source separately?

The package includes the rack shelf itself; mounting screws, cage nuts and any cable-management accessories are not included and must be purchased separately.
