A 10 Gbps SFP+ transceiver for long-range single-mode fibre links
This Axiom transceiver adds a 10 Gbps long-range uplink to compatible Perle switches. It uses the standard SFP+ form factor and supports single-mode fibre connections. The module is built for enterprise and campus networks that need extended reach between buildings or floors.
The 10GBASE-LR specification defines the wavelength and power budget for links up to 10 km over single-mode fibre. It is not suited for short-range multimode links or direct-attach copper cables. Buyers needing shorter distances or different fibre types should select a module matching their specific link requirements.

It follows the 10GBASE-LR specification, capping reach at 10 km over OS2 single-mode fibre with LC connectors.
