SKU CH-WTCS-XDVK1 MPN 40G-DACP-QSFP4SFP1M-AX

A one-metre direct-attach cable splitting a 40 Gbps QSFP+ port into four SFP+ links

  • Direct 40 Gbps link with QSFP+ to SFP+ breakout
  • 1 metre passive copper eliminates power-hungry transceivers
  • Factory-coded for Extreme Networks switch compatibility
  • Hot-pluggable design allows live port changes
  • Low-latency DAC ideal for top-of-rack clustering

Direct Attach Cable for 40G links

This Axiom direct attach cable provides a QSFP+ connector on one end and an SFP+ connector on the other. It is built for short-reach 40G Ethernet or InfiniBand connections between switches, servers or storage appliances. The one-metre length suits rack-adjacent equipment.

Suits 40G-to-SFP+ breakout needs

It fits installations where a single 40G QSFP+ port must connect to an SFP+ port running at a compatible speed. Buyers needing QSFP+-to-QSFP+ links, longer reaches, or optical transceivers should consider other cable types.

QSFP+ to SFP+ connector pairing

The decisive specification is the mixed connector ends: one QSFP+ and one SFP+. Verify that both your switch and the target device support this exact breakout configuration before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the 40G QSFP+ end plug into my existing QSFP+ switch port?

Yes, the QSFP+ connector matches standard QSFP+ ports used for 40G direct attach links.

How can I verify the 1M cable is passing traffic at line rate after installation?

Check the switch port LEDs for link up and monitor interface counters for incrementing packets without errors.

Does the package include both the QSFP+ and four SFP+ breakout ends, or must I buy the SFP+ modules separately?

The cable is a single assembly with a QSFP+ connector on one side and four SFP+ connectors on the other; no extra modules are needed.
