Converts 10/100Base-TX copper to 100Base-FX multimode fibre up to 2 km while delivering 48 V PoE power to connected devices
This Axiom converter connects a 10/100Base-TX copper segment to a 100Base-FX multimode fiber link. It operates as Power Sourcing Equipment compliant with IEEE 802.3 af, delivering 48 V power over CAT5e or CAT6 cable up to 100 meters. The built-in AC/DC supply includes over-current protection. DIP switches and Link Fault Pass-through simplify deployment.
It suits network builds that need to extend a Fast Ethernet link over multimode fiber with LC connectors at 1310 nm up to 2 km while powering a remote PoE device. Buyers who require Gigabit speeds, single-mode fiber distances beyond 2 km, or a powered-device role instead of PSE should look at a different model.
The defining specification is IEEE 802.3 af Power Sourcing Equipment on the RJ45 port, which supplies 48 V to a powered device over the copper cable while the fiber uplink carries data.

Yes, the copper port auto-negotiates 10 or 100 Mbps so it will establish a link with legacy 10Base-T equipment.
The LFP (Link Fault Pass-through) indicator and the fiber link LED will both show solid green when the 2 km multimode connection is up.
The converter ships with the built-in AC/DC power supply only; LC multimode patch cords for the 1310 nm link are not included.
