A 10 m active optical cable with QSFP56 connectors for 200 GbE links, MSA compliant and coded for Mellanox HDR equipment
The Axiom MFS1S00-H010V-AX is a 200GBASE-AOC QSFP56 active optical cable built for 200 Gb/s interconnects. It targets data-centre operators and network engineers who need a factory-coded, MSA-compliant link between switches, routers or adapters. The 10 metre reach suits intra-rack and adjacent-rack runs. Each assembly carries a unique serialisation to avoid address conflicts.
This cable replaces separate QSFP56 transceiver modules and duplex fibre patch cords, removing two connector interfaces and the associated insertion loss. The jump is worth it when you want a single pre-tested assembly that eliminates transceiver-to-fibre cleaning steps and reduces rack cabling bulk. It also avoids the interoperability checks required when mixing transceiver brands.
Because the optical engines are permanently aligned inside the QSFP56 shells, the link maintains full 200 Gb/s bandwidth across the entire 32.81 ft length without the signal degradation that can appear on mechanically mated patch cords after repeated mating cycles. The active circuitry draws power from the host port and compensates for temperature drift, so latency and bit-error rate stay constant during sustained traffic loads. No periodic re-optimisation is required.

New to this? Which coin should you pay with — what to check, what it costs to pay, and what is never asked for.
No published specifications for this item yet.
The cable terminates in QSFP56 connectors that insert directly into matching QSFP56 ports on switches or adapters.
Push each module firmly until the latch clicks; the active optical engines power up only when both ends are fully latched.
Replace the cable if monitoring shows rising bit-error rates or if the unique serialisation label becomes unreadable.
