Aqua OM4 MPO Female Patch Cord

This Axiom multimode fibre cable ships new in aqua jacket colour. It measures 3.28 ft and terminates in 2 x MPO Female connectors at each end. The 50/125 µm core/cladding meets OM4 performance grades for short-reach links.

Suits high-density patch panels

Installers who need MPO-to-MPO connectivity in an OM4 plant will find the connector gender and fibre spec aligned. Buyers who require single-mode fibre, different connector styles, or longer reach should look at something else.

50/125 µm multimode core/cladding diameter

This single figure determines whether the cable matches the OM4 channel design. If the link budget or equipment calls for a different core size or mode, the cable will not work.

Questions about this item

Which equipment already needs MPO female ports to connect this cable?

Any patch panel, transceiver module or switch cassette that presents two MPO female interfaces will accept the dual MPO female ends on this 3.28 ft OM4 link.

Can I join this OM4 50/125 µm cable to an existing OM3 50/125 µm trunk without changing connectors?

Yes, both use 50/125 µm geometry and MPO female ends, so the aqua OM4 jumper plugs directly into the older OM3 trunk for backward-compatible operation.

What visual cue confirms the cable is the correct OM4 grade once installed?

The aqua jacket colour identifies the 50/125 µm OM4 rating, matching the standard colour code for this multimode fibre type.
