10GBase-LR SFP+ transceiver for Cisco networks

The Axiom SFP-10G-LR-S-AX is a 10GBase-LR SFP+ module built for single-mode fibre links. It presents one LC 10GBase-LR network port for long-reach optical data networking. The transceiver suits administrators who need a 10 Gbit/s uplink in a Cisco-compatible form factor.

Replaces shorter-range or copper SFP+ modules

Swap this module in when existing SR optics or direct-attach cables cannot span the required distance. The jump is worth it when a link must run over single-mode fibre at 1.25 GB/s line rate without changing the host switch or router. It is not for networks that operate at lower speeds or use multi-mode fibre only.
