Compact video intercom for secure entry points

The Axis I8016-LVE is a new network video intercom built for door and gate access. It captures 2592x1944 video across a 140 ° horizontal field of view with Forensic WDR and colour sensitivity down to 0.16 lux. An IK10 vandal rating and anti-ligature design suit exposed public areas. SIP support enables direct integration with IP phone systems.

Verify power, mounting and cabling before ordering

The unit requires PoE for power and data; confirm your switch or injector delivers the required class. Recessed mounting needs the AXIS TI8202 Recessed Mount accessory, while surface mounting needs the AXIS TI8602 Wall Mount — neither is included. Two alarm inputs, one relay output and 2-gang box compatibility should match your existing wiring plan. Operating range spans -40 to 60 °C.

Replaces analogue door stations

Sites moving from analogue audio-only panels gain full video, wide dynamic range and SIP trunking in one device. The jump is worth it when you need IK10 durability, echo-cancelled two-way audio and open SIP integration without a proprietary head-end. Buyers who require built-in card readers, multiple camera streams or wireless connectivity will need a different solution.
