What the pad is and who it suits

The BAGAIL BASICS RG0L-5x7 is a rectangular, ivory rug pad measuring 5' x 7'. It is designed for homeowners who want to stop rugs from sliding on hard floors while adding a layer of cushion underfoot. It also works as a drawer liner or shelf mat for extra grip. Buyers needing a different size or a pad rated for outdoor use should look elsewhere.

Installation ease and common issues

The pad is precision-cut to 5' x 7' and can be trimmed with household scissors if a custom fit is needed. Placement takes seconds: simply lay it flat and position the rug on top. The main issue is moisture; the care instructions specify spot cleaning only and warn against exposing the pad to liquids or excessive moisture. Getting it wet can degrade the polyvinyl chloride material.

The specification that decides fit

The pad uses a polyvinyl chloride construction with a breathable grid that reduces friction by 70% to protect both floors and rug fibres. This material choice determines whether the pad suits your floor type and cleaning routine. Eighteen size options are available across the range, and the product comes with 24/7 customer support plus lifetime replacement coverage.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the rug pad is gripping properly after placing it under my rug?

Walk across the rug to confirm it stays flat without bunching or shifting; the pad should keep the rug firmly in place on hardwood or tile floors.

What comes in the box and do I need to buy anything else for installation?

The package contains the 5' x 7' rectangular rug pad only; no extra tools or adhesives are required — just position it under the rug and trim with household scissors if needed.

Which of the 18 precision-cut sizes should I choose for my space?

Select the size that matches your rug dimensions; this model is the 5' x 7' rectangle, and you can trim it with scissors for a custom fit if your rug is slightly smaller.
