Hydraulic Filter for Heavy Equipment

This Baldwin Filters BT526 is a spin-on hydraulic filter rated at 18 microns. It fits Allis Chalmers, Char-Lynn, Ingersoll-Rand, Massey Ferguson and other listed machinery. The unit is supplied new and ready for installation.

18 Micron Rating and Thread Size

The filter captures particles down to 18 microns and uses a 1 1/4 in. -12 thread. These two specifications determine whether the part matches the hydraulic system requirements. Verify both values against the equipment manual before fitting.

Integral G381-A Gasket Included

An integral G381-A gasket ships with the filter, removing the need to source a separate seal. This simplifies the service procedure and helps ensure a correct seal on the first assembly.

Questions about this item

How does the 18 micron rating affect filtration in my hydraulic system?

The 18 micron rating means the filter traps particles down to that size, helping protect pumps and valves from wear caused by fine contamination in the hydraulic fluid.

What does the 1 1/4 In.-12 thread size determine for installation?

The 1 1/4 In.-12 thread size sets the mounting connection; it must match the filter head on your equipment exactly or the filter will not seal and cannot be installed.

What clearance do I need for the 5 3/8 in height and 3 11/16 in diameter?

You need at least 5 3/8 in of vertical space and a 3 11/16 in diameter opening to spin the filter on and allow room for removal during service.
