Baldwin BT8450 hydraulic spin-on filter

This Baldwin BT8450 hydraulic spin-on filter fits New Holland equipment and carries a 9.8 micron rating. It includes a 15 psid bypass valve and an anti-drainback valve for reliable fluid handling. The 1-1/4 in. -11 thread size matches the specified port. It is a new component ready for installation.

Sustained flow performance

The 9.8 micron media captures fine particles during continuous hydraulic system operation. A 15 psid bypass valve opens only when differential pressure exceeds the set point, protecting the element under heavy load. The anti-drainback valve keeps the housing primed between cycles. These features maintain consistent filtration over long duty periods.

9.8 micron rating decides fit

The 9.8 micron rating is the single specification that determines whether this filter meets the cleanliness target for the hydraulic circuit. A finer or coarser rating would change contamination control and component wear rates. Verify the micron requirement in the equipment manual before ordering. No other dimension overrides this selection criterion.

Questions about this item

How much pressure drop does the 15 psid bypass valve allow before opening?

The built-in bypass valve opens at 15 psid, letting fluid flow if the filter element becomes restricted.

Which thread size must my hydraulic housing have to accept this spin-on filter?

The filter uses a 1 1/4 in. -11 thread, so the mounting head must match that specification.

Will the 7 3/32 in height fit in the same space as the filter currently on my New Holland equipment?

Overall height is 7 3/32 in; compare that dimension with your existing filter clearance before installing.
