Baldwin BT8834-MPG Hydraulic Filter

The Baldwin BT8834-MPG is a spin-on hydraulic filter built with Maximum Performance Glass media for heavy equipment. It fits Caterpillar machines and Freeman hay balers where a 1 3/8 in.-12 thread is required. The Viton integral gasket resists heat and chemical breakdown in demanding hydraulic systems.

Check thread size and mounting space

Verify that the equipment calls for a 1 3/8 in.-12 thread before ordering. Confirm the canister height of 9 7/16 in and outside diameter of 3 13/16 in will clear surrounding components. This filter is not suited for applications that specify a different thread pitch or a shorter housing.

Viton gasket and glass media extend service life

The integral Viton gasket seals against high-temperature hydraulic fluid without a separate washer. Maximum Performance Glass media captures finer particles than standard cellulose, reducing wear on pumps and valves. Together they lower the risk of bypass events and lengthen the interval between filter changes.
