Baldwin Filters BT8841MPG Hydraulic Filter

This Baldwin Filters BT8841MPG is a spin-on hydraulic filter designed for heavy equipment maintenance. It fits J. C. Bamford, John Deere, Komatsu machinery and Ingersoll-Rand compressors. The unit uses Maximum Performance Glass media rated at 5 microns. It is a new component supplied for direct replacement.

5 micron glass media and spin-on design

The filter captures particles down to 5 microns using Maximum Performance Glass media. Its spin-on configuration allows quick service intervals on compatible hydraulic systems. The 1 3/8 in.-12 thread ensures secure mounting on specified equipment. It is not suited for applications requiring finer micron ratings or different thread patterns.

Attached gasket simplifies installation

An attached gasket ships with the filter to seal the mating surface without extra parts. This reduces the chance of leaks during change-outs. No additional seals or tools are included in the package. Buyers needing different thread sizes or micron ratings must select an alternative filter.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 3/8 In.-12 thread on this Baldwin BT8841MPG fit the hydraulic port on my older J. C. Bamford backhoe?

The filter uses a 1 3/8 In.-12 thread size, which matches the port specification listed for compatible J. C. Bamford equipment.

How can I confirm the spin-on filter is sealing correctly after installation?

An attached gasket is included; hand-tighten until the gasket contacts the base, then turn the specified additional amount to ensure a proper seal.

Does the box contain the 5-micron glass element and gasket, or must I order a separate seal kit?

The unit ships as a complete spin-on assembly with the Maximum Performance Glass element and attached gasket already installed; no separate seal kit is required.
