Baldwin H9043-V Hydraulic Filter Element

The Baldwin H9043-V is a cartridge-style hydraulic filter element designed for fluid power systems. It uses a wire mesh supported media with an 8 micron rating to capture contaminants. The element includes an O-ring for sealing and measures 4-1/2 inches in length. It is specified for use with Volvo dump trucks.

Cartridge element has no thread size

This filter element does not feature a thread size, as it is designed to fit inside a compatible filter housing. The wire mesh support provides structural integrity for the media during operation. Dimensions include a 1 25/32 inch outside diameter and a 1 1/32 inch inside diameter. The housing must accept these specific cartridge measurements.

Replaces worn hydraulic filter cartridges

This element replaces a spent cartridge to restore system cleanliness and protect downstream components. The upgrade is worth it when the existing element has reached its service interval or shows a pressure drop increase. It is not for buyers who need a complete filter assembly with a head or bowl. Builders needing a different micron rating or different dimensions cannot use this part.

Questions about this item

How do I choose the correct version of the H9043-V for my equipment?

The H9043-V is a single cartridge element with an 8 micron rating, 4-1/2 inch height and 1-25/32 inch outside diameter; match these dimensions and the O-ring seal to your housing.

What does the 8 micron rating mean for daily operation?

An 8 micron rating means the wire-mesh supported media captures particles down to that size, protecting hydraulic components from fine contamination during normal service intervals.

What connection standard does the H9043-V use and what does it limit?

The element has no thread size — it installs by inserting the 1-1/32 inch inside diameter over the housing post, so the housing design dictates flow capacity and sealing.
