Hydraulic Filter Element PT283

This Baldwin Filters PT283 is a cartridge-type hydraulic filter element designed for Barber-Greene loaders equipped with International engines. It serves maintenance teams and equipment operators who need a direct replacement filter for hydraulic system protection. The element-only format suits workshops that retain existing filter housings.

Cartridge Build with 3-5/32in Dimensions

The cartridge construction uses a 3-5/32 inch height and length with a 1-1/16 inch outside diameter and 5/8 inch inside diameter. No thread size applies, indicating a slip-fit or housing-clamp installation. These dimensions determine compatibility with the specified loader models and dictate the service interval for hydraulic fluid cleanliness.

Element-Only Supply for Targeted Replacement

The package contains the filter element alone, without seals, housing hardware or fluid. This keeps costs down for fleets that already stock the necessary installation parts. Shops must verify the loader application and have the correct sealing components on hand before beginning the filter change.
