Baldwin PT8517-MPG Hydraulic Filter Element

The Baldwin PT8517-MPG is a cartridge-style hydraulic filter element designed for fluid-power systems. It uses wire-mesh supported Maximum Performance Glass media with an 8 micron rating to capture fine contaminants. The element measures 18-1/2 inches in length and includes attached end seals and gasket for a secure fit.

Check thread size and housing dimensions before

This element has no thread specification and relies on the housing for sealing. Verify that your filter housing accepts a cartridge with an outside diameter of 3 29/32 inches and inside diameters of 1 5/8 inches and 1 27/32 inches. Confirm the 18-1/2 inch height matches the available space in your existing assembly.

Suits maintenance crews needing an 8 micron

Technicians who require fine particle removal in hydraulic circuits will benefit from the Maximum Performance Glass construction. Buyers who need a spin-on canister or a different micron rating should look at alternative filter types. Systems requiring threaded connections or non-standard end-cap configurations cannot use this element.
