Product Identity

The Baldwin Filters PT9559-MPG is a hydraulic filter element designed for heavy-duty equipment. It serves maintenance teams working on Euclid and Hitachi dump trucks that require a cartridge-style replacement.

Filtration Capacity

The element uses maximum performance glass media with a wire mesh support rated at 5 microns. It captures fine contaminants in hydraulic systems until the media reaches its holding limit, at which point flow restriction signals the need for replacement.

Included Components

An O-ring is supplied with the filter to seal the housing interface during installation. No additional hardware, tools or software are bundled, so installers must provide any required wrenches or lubricants separately.

Questions about this item

Will the 12-15/16 in cartridge fit the existing housing on my Hitachi dump truck?

The element height is 12-15/16 in with an outside diameter of 3-5/32 in and a 1-9/16 in inside diameter; compare those dimensions to your current housing before installing.

How can I confirm the 5 micron glass media is filtering correctly once installed?

Monitor the hydraulic system pressure differential across the filter; a steady reading within the equipment manufacturer's normal range indicates the media is flowing and capturing particles as designed.

Does the box include the O-ring mentioned in the specs or must I order it separately?

The supplier description states the element includes an O-ring, so no separate seal purchase is required for installation.
