Rugged laser distance sensor

The Banner Q4XTULAF300-Q8 is a rectangular stainless-steel sensor with an M18 mount and an integral M12 5-pin Euro connector. It emits a visible Class 1 red laser at 655 nm and provides an analog 0-10 V dc output proportional to target distance. The unit operates on 12-30 V dc supply and powers up in 750 ms.

Adjustable-field proximity sensing

This sensor suits automation tasks that need background and foreground suppression within a 25 mm to 300 mm window. It is not for applications requiring discrete switching outputs or IO-Link communication, nor for ranges beyond 300 mm.

Analog resolution and repeatability

Repeatability is better than 0.3 mm from 25 mm to 100 mm and better than 1 mm from 100 mm to 300 mm. Temperature drift is +/- 0.05 mm per °C up to 125 mm and +/- 0.35 mm per °C at 300 mm.
