Banner QS18VN6CV45Q8 photoelectric sensor 43 mm 10-30V dc NPN M12

Photoelectric sensor for 43 mm convergent range

The Banner QS18VN6CV45Q8 is a WORLD-BEAM QS18 series sensor designed for precise presence detection at a fixed 43 mm focal point. It operates on 10-30 V dc supply voltage and provides complementary solid-state NPN outputs for direct PLC integration. The rectangular housing uses an M18 mounting thread and suits industrial automation tasks requiring reliable short-range sensing.

Potentiometer adjustment

A built-in potentiometer allows sensitivity tuning without external tools, while the 630 nm visible red LED lets operators verify beam placement during setup. The sensor delivers a 0.6 ms output response time and 150 µs repeatability for consistent switching performance. Light/dark operate mode is selectable to match application logic requirements.

ABS housing with IP67 and NEMA 6 sealing

The primary housing material is ABS with an acrylic lens, rated for -20 to 70 °C operating temperature and 95 % humidity at 50 °C. An integral M12 Euro-style quick-disconnect connector with four pins enables fast installation and cable replacement. NEMA 6 and IP67 ratings protect against temporary submersion and dust ingress in harsh environments.
