Ultrasonic Sensor 300-3000 mm

The Banner T30UXDC is a barrel-style proximity sensor that uses ultrasonic time-of-flight measurement. It suits automation engineers who need non-contact distance detection up to three metres. The 10-30 V dc supply and selectable NPN or PNP output make it compatible with common industrial control systems. Buyers who require analog output or IO-Link communication should look elsewhere.

Cable Connection and Teach Setup

A fixed 2 m cable with four conductors terminates the sensor, so no separate cordset is required. Output mode is chosen via the teach button; there is no PC configuration option. The 500 ms power-up delay means the first reading is not immediate after supply voltage is applied. Vibration and shock ratings meet MIL-STD-202F Method 201A and IEC 60947-5-2 respectively.

Discrete Output 100 mA Max

The single switched output sinks or sources up to 100 mA with saturation below 1.6 V for NPN and below 3 V for PNP. Short-circuit protection is built in. Repeatability is specified as 0.1 % of measured distance with a 1.5 mm minimum. Temperature effect is 0.02 % of sensing distance per degree Celsius. IP6 rating covers the PBT housing.
