Connects two female G1/4" fittings with a rotary joint that prevents over-tightening and allows 90° elbow alignment
This Barrow Mods TBX2D-02-Silver adaptor converts fixed female G1/4" fittings into rotary connections. It suits DIY liquid-cooling builders who need precise angular alignment without stressing components. The male-to-male design threads directly into existing ports. It eliminates the trial-and-error tightening that can damage blocks or radiators.
The adaptor adds no active thermal load and introduces negligible flow restriction in a custom loop. Its all-metal construction handles typical coolant temperatures without deformation. No moving parts generate noise, so system acoustics remain unchanged. The rotary joint stays secure under normal operating pressure.
The fitting accepts any standard female G1/4" port, letting you orient 90° elbows or straight fittings in any direction. This flexibility frees up routing options in tight chassis layouts. No extra tools or sealants are required beyond the thread engagement. Builders gain full rotational freedom without increasing the overall fitting stack height.

Screw each male G1/4" end into a female G1/4" port by hand until snug, then use the rotary joint to align the fitting instead of forcing the threads further.
Inspect the O-rings on both male threads periodically and replace them if they show wear or if a slow leak appears at either connection.
The rotary joint may develop slight rotational stiffness before any thread seal fails, so check free movement during routine loop maintenance.
