Compatible Dell Workstations

This 240W adapter powers Dell Precision 7670, 7680, 7770 and 7780 mobile workstations. It delivers 19.5V output for consistent charging during intensive workloads. The unit replaces the original 492-BDHI part directly.

Power Capacity And Limits

At 240W the adapter handles full system load while charging the battery simultaneously. It runs out of headroom if the workstation draws sustained power beyond this rating. Lower-wattage bricks cannot maintain charge under heavy compute tasks.

Connector And Voltage Constraints

The barrel connector fits only the listed Precision and Alienware models requiring 19.5V input. Using it on laptops with different voltage or tip polarity risks damage. Buyers needing USB-C Power Delivery or other voltages must choose a different adapter.
