45 W AC Adapter for Dell Devices

The Battery Technology Inc. 492BBUUBTI supplies up to 45 watts of power to compatible Dell notebooks, Chromebooks and tablet PCs. It is built as a direct replacement for the OEM 492-BBUU part and carries a 24-month limited warranty. The unit is new and ready for immediate use.

OEM Compatibility and Warranty

The adapter matches the Dell 492-BBUU specification, so it fits the listed Latitude, Chromebook and rugged models without modification. The 24-month limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for two years from purchase. No additional cables or software are included in the package.

Check Connector and Voltage Before Ordering

Verify that your Dell device appears in the supported model list and that the original charger uses the same barrel connector and voltage rating. The adapter is not suitable for laptops requiring more than 45 W or a different tip size. Confirm the part number on your existing power supply matches 492-BBUU.

Questions about this item

How often will the 45 W adapter itself need to be replaced?

The unit carries a 24 month limited warranty; beyond that period replacement depends on usage patterns and environmental conditions.

What limits continuous output when the adapter runs at full 45 W load?

The maximum output power is rated at 45 W; sustained operation at that level is constrained by the adapter’s thermal design and internal component ratings.

How much heat and fan noise does the 492BBUUBTI produce during all-day use?

The adapter has no moving parts, so it generates no fan noise; warmth is normal during extended operation but stays within the design limits for a 45 W supply.
