12 V 7 AH SLA battery for UPS replacements

This sealed lead-acid battery uses AGM technology to deliver a 12 V, 7 AH rating that fits the WB1280F2, UB1280, PS1280 and WKA12-8F models. It is built for standby power in UPS units, alarm panels and emergency lighting systems. The maintenance-free design means no water top-ups are required during its service life.

AGM construction and gas recombination

The absorptive glass mat separator holds electrolyte in place so the battery can operate in any orientation without leakage. Gas recombination exceeds 90 percent, reducing internal pressure and eliminating the need for venting. Sealed construction meets non-spillable classification for safe transport and handling.

Drop-in installation with terminal alignment

The battery matches the original footprint and terminal layout, so it slides into existing trays without modification. Polarity must be verified before connection to avoid reverse-voltage damage. Over-tightening terminal bolts can crack the sealed case, so hand-tighten only and apply a torque wrench if the manufacturer specifies a value.

Questions about this item

How often will the 12V SLA battery need replacement under normal use?

Expected life is 4 to 7 years depending on application and charging conditions.

What capacity limit appears first during extended discharge cycles?

The 7AH to 8AH rating defines the total energy available before voltage drops below usable levels.

Does the sealed AGM design produce noticeable heat or gas during all-day float charging?

Over 90% of generated gas recombines internally; the case stays sealed and operates without added ventilation.
