Questions about this item

How do I install the battery on my TK-2140, and which way do the contacts face?

Align the battery rails with the radio body, slide upward until the latch clicks, and ensure the three gold contacts on the pack mate with the radio terminals.

When will this Ni-MH pack need replacement, and what capacity drop signals end of life?

The pack is guaranteed to hold at least 80% of its 1800 mAh rating for 18 months from shipment; plan replacement once run-time falls below that threshold.

What is the first limitation I will hit during a long shift with the 7.5 V pack?

Sustained transmit cycles drain the 1800 mAh capacity fastest; expect the voltage to sag under continuous high-power TX before the pack overheats.
