Replacement battery for Motorola XTS2500 and MT1500

This pack contains two NiMH batteries rated at 7.2V and 1525mAh. They are built as direct replacements for the original NTN9815 cells used in Motorola XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 radios. Each unit is new and uses high-grade cells selected by the supplier. The pair suits professional users who need spare power for compatible two-way radios.

Drop-tested durability for field use

The supplier states each battery can survive six drops from six feet onto all six sides without breaking or losing the ability to power the radio. This construction targets sustained reliability in rough handling rather than a brief benchmark. An 18-month warranty covers the battery packs against defects. The design prioritises continued operation after impact in demanding environments.

Check your radio model before ordering

Verify that your device appears in the supported list: XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500, MT1500 or the original part numbers NTN9814, NTN9815, NTN9858. The pack will not fit radios outside this compatibility group. Buyers needing a different voltage, chemistry or form factor should look for a pack that matches their specific radio specifications.

Questions about this item

Does the 7.2 V 1525 mAh NiMH pack generate noticeable heat during extended transmit cycles?

The battery uses high-grade NiMH cells rated at 7.2 V and 1525 mAh; normal operation stays cool, though prolonged high-power transmission will warm the pack slightly.

Which Motorola radios must I already own for these NTN9815 packs to fit and power them?

They directly replace the NTN9814 and NTN9858 packs in XTS1500, XTS2500, PR1500 and MT1500 models.

Will the 1525 mAh capacity work reliably with an older XTS2500 that originally shipped with a lower-capacity pack?

Yes — the higher 1525 mAh rating simply extends talk time; voltage and connector match the original specification.
