Quick Disconnect and PTT

A quick-disconnect adapter lets users swap acoustic tubes between shifts without tools. An extra push-to-talk button sits on the connector for convenient access. The large textured PTT button on the main unit is easy to operate with gloves. Cable retention reduces strain on the earphone lead during movement.

Security and Shift Work

The clear acoustic tube and silicon ear tip suit covert security, law enforcement and public safety roles in noisy environments. The IP54 water-resistant housing survives six drops from six feet onto all sides. Buyers needing wireless operation or a different radio connector should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How often should the acoustic tube be replaced in a multi-shift environment?

The Quick Disconnect adapter lets you swap acoustic tubes between shifts without tools, and the extra ear-hanger secures the tube so it lasts longer under daily use.

Which spec limits continuous transmission time?

The IP54 rating protects the housing against water ingress and dust, so the first limit is the radio battery rather than the headset itself.

Does the earpiece get hot or noisy during an all-day shift?

The passive acoustic tube and silicon ear tip add no electronic heat or fan noise; only the radio body warms up during extended transmit cycles.
