Compatible Radios

Sustained Output

The 5000 mAh cell delivers 7.4 volts continuously during long shifts, and the supplier states the pack survives six drops from six feet on every side without breaking or losing power. An 18-month warranty backs the capacity claim under normal duty cycles.

Questions about this item

Does the 5000 mAh 7.4 V Li-Ion pack run hot during extended transmit cycles on an XTS5000?

The battery uses highest-grade cells designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications, so heat buildup during all-day use stays within normal limits for Motorola SMART LI-ION high-capacity packs.

Which Motorola radio models must I already own for this NNTN6034A battery to fit and communicate correctly?

It fits the XTS3000, XTS3500, XTS4250, XTS5000, MTP200, MTP300, 8294, 8299 and 7004 — any of those radios will recognise the SMART LI-ION interface and report capacity accurately.

Will the 7.4 V 5000 mAh pack charge and report capacity correctly on an older XTS3000 desk charger I already use?

Yes — the SMART LI-ION chemistry is fully compatible with existing Motorola chargers for the XTS3000, XTS3500, XTS4250 and XTS5000 series, so your current charger will work without modification.
