Bulk Cat6 patch cords for dense installs

This fifty-pack supplies two-foot black Cat6 UTP cables with RJ45 plugs for short runs between switches, patch panels and wall outlets. Each cord meets Cat6 performance and remains compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 infrastructure. The bulk quantity reduces per-cable cost for installers wiring racks or workstations.

Not for long drops or outdoor runs

Buyers who need longer reach between rooms or floors should select a different length, as these cords stop at two feet. The UTP construction lacks shielding for high-EMI environments and carries no outdoor or plenum rating, so they cannot replace rated cable in those scenarios.

Cat6 UTP rating at two feet

The decisive spec is the Cat6 unshielded twisted-pair rating on a two-foot cord, which guarantees gigabit throughput on short links while staying backward compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 gear.

Questions about this item

Will a 2 ft Cat6 patch cable deliver gigabit speeds on my 1000BaseT switch?

Yes, the cable is rated for Cat6 UTP and the supplier lists compatibility with 1000BaseT gigabit Ethernet networks, so it will carry full gigabit throughput over its 2-foot length.

Does the RJ45 connector on this Cat6 cable work with my existing Cat5e wall jacks?

The RJ45 plug is backward-compatible with Cat5e and Cat5 ports, so it will seat and pass data on those older sockets at their rated speeds.

How much slack will a 2-foot cable leave when I patch a switch to a patch panel in the same rack?

At 2 feet long, the cord is designed for very short runs — just enough to bridge adjacent ports in a rack or connect a desktop to a nearby wall jack without excess cable.
