Adds four SATA 6.0 Gbps ports through a PCIe x1 slot using an ASMEDIA 1061 chip
This Bean expansion card adds four SATA 3.0 ports through a single PCI Express x1 slot. It uses the ASMEDIA 1061 chip and supports data rates of 6.0 Gbps, 3.0 Gbps and 1.5 Gbps. The board is compliant with PCIe v2.0 and backward compatible with v1.0 slots. Two heatsinks are fitted for extended operation.
The card targets desktop users who need more internal SATA connections for hard drives or SSDs. It works with Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2008 and Linux in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. AHCI 1.0 and IDE modes are supported along with native command queuing. Systems without a free PCIe x1 lane or that require external USB ports cannot use this adapter.
The adapter plugs into any PCI Express x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slot and provides four internal SATA 3.0 connectors. A driver CD is included for operating systems that need it. Hot-swap capability is available when the platform and drives support it.

The card plugs into a PCIe x1 slot and each of the four SATA ports can signal at up to 6.0 Gbps, though the slot's single lane sets the combined ceiling for all drives.
It complies with PCI-Express v2.0 and works in x1, x2, x4, x8 or x16 slots; the x1 link provides one v2.0 lane that all four ports share.
A single PCIe x1 slot opening and the two included heat sinks are required; no extra power connectors or brackets are supplied.
