Seven-foot Cat 5e patch cable

This seven-foot Cat 5e patch cable has RJ45 male connectors on both ends. The yellow jacket is moulded and the connectors are snagless with gold-plated contacts. It suits home offices, small-business networks and temporary test links. Buyers who need longer runs or higher category ratings should choose a different cable.

Compatibility checklist

Verify that the router, switch or wall port uses standard RJ45 sockets. Confirm the run distance does not exceed seven feet so the cable reaches without strain. Ensure the connected equipment supports Cat 5e speeds for the intended traffic. Installations requiring shielded or outdoor-rated cable need a different product.

Thermals noise and power

A passive copper cable generates no heat and makes no audible noise. It draws no power of its own and adds no load to the power supply. Gold-plated contacts maintain low resistance over repeated insertions. Normal indoor use keeps the jacket flexible and the snagless boots intact.
